HEALTH & SAFETY FAQs
Your safety is our priority at PRTY. We’re here to make sure you have an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons.
If you or someone in your group feels unwell, speak to a member of staff or security, or head straight to the medical tent. TCLF Welfare will be based in our welfare area, offering support, information, and a safe space to take a breather or chat to someone.
Take care of yourself and each other – let’s make it a safe and epic one.
DRUGS
PRTY Festival operates a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and illegal substances, of any amount found on entry or during the event will be confiscated and you will be referred to Police Scotland.
While our first advice is always to not take drugs, we recognise that some people may still choose to take drugs. That’s why we believe it’s important to offer clear harm reduction advice, access to support, and medical services on-site - to help keep everyone as safe as possible, no matter their choices.
Ahead of PRTY Festival this weekend, we’re sharing some important up-to-date information about drugs to help keep you safe. There are reports of high-strength ecstasy pills currently in circulation, with some found to contain up to three times the average adult dose. Please find further information via this post here.
SEARCH ON ENTRY
There will be drug detection dogs, CCTV monitoring, and security checks in place.
These measures are in place to help maintain a safe, secure, and crime-free environment - including tackling the presence of organised criminal activity - and to ensure everyone can enjoy the festival from the moment they arrive.
To ensure the safety of everyone attending, all festival goers will be subject to searches on entry. Refusal of a search will be refusal of entry.
ALCOHOL AND WATER
We want everyone to have a great time and that includes looking after yourself and those around you. Please drink responsibly, pace yourself, and stay aware of how you're feeling.
A free water station will be available on site. We strongly encourage everyone to stay hydrated.
If at any point you or a friend feels unwell, speak to a member of staff or visit our welfare or medical teams - no judgement, just support.
WELFARE & MEDICAL SUPPORT
Our Medical Team are fully trained professionals, ready to assist with any health issues — big or small. If you need help, speak to any member of staff who will know where to find medical help when needed.
TCLF Welfare will also be on site throughout the event, offering a safe, quiet space if you need to take a breather, talk to someone, or get support without judgment. They’re here to listen and help, whatever the reason.
If you see someone else who looks like they might be struggling, check in with them or alert a member of staff. We’re all in this together — let’s look out for one another.
SEEKING HELP WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES
Your safety and well-being are really important to us. If you or someone you’re with starts to feel unwell at PRTY Festival, please don’t wait - come and speak to someone. There’s absolutely no judgment, and you won’t get into trouble for asking for help.
We’ve got a solid support network on-site to make sure you’re looked after, here is who to look out for:
Welfare team: friendly, trained team members who are there to offer a bit of care and calm if you need it.
Medical Team: healthcare professionals who can step in if anything more serious is going on.
Event Staff: always around and happy to help or point you in the right direction.
If something doesn’t feel right, speak up - we’re here to make sure you’re safe and can get back to enjoying your night.
IF YOU FEEL TOO HOT
If you start to feel too hot, take a break and head outside with a friend. Grab some water from the water station or the bar, and take slow, deep breaths while sipping it slowly. Give yourself at least 10 minutes to cool down properly before heading back inside, your body will thank you for it.
If you are not cooling down, ask someone to help you to get to the medical team to get checked out.
FEELING ANXIOUS OR WORRIED
If you start to feel anxious or overwhelmed, try to move to a quieter spot or the chill out zone, with someone you trust. Don’t take anything else to try and calm yourself down - it can often make things worse. Sit down, sip some water slowly, and focus on your breathing. Curling up with your knees to your chest can sometimes help ground you too. If those feelings don’t ease or you’re finding it hard to manage, please speak to a member of staff - they’re there to help, no judgment.
YOU SPOT SOMEONE WHO APPEARS TO BE UNWELL
If someone you don’t know looks unwell, don’t be afraid to check in and ask if they’re okay. A quick word can make a big difference. If they are unwell, find a member of staff straight away. And if they’re unresponsive, call an ambulance immediately - acting quickly could save a life.
TAKEN TOO MUCH?
If you think you’ve taken too much, try to stay calm and get to a quieter space with a friend. Step away from the dancefloor or any loud, overwhelming areas, and give yourself a moment to breathe. Avoid things like nicotine or more substances, they can make things worse. If you can, have a small sugary or salty snack, and sip some water slowly. Stay put somewhere safe and comfortable until you start to feel more in control. And if things aren’t improving, or you’re worried, please get help from the welfare or medical team - it’s what they’re there for.
